New painting, I think its a new direction for me and I am quite pleased with it, I plan to do 3 more of these in a similar fashion for my degree show. I call this one "The Head-Aches" It is a large painting probably the largest I have ever done (120cm squared)

Sending the complete painting later on

Painting at Home

Uni was closed for four days so I took my painting tools home with me, it was a real struggle and I must have turpsed down a good three paintings before I looked to the artist Laura Lancaster (who happened to give me a visiting tutorial about three or four months back) Here is the result.

Four

After being told my paintings were getting a tad "muddy" and that I was forgetting myself as a painter I decided to move my work away from my uni mates so I could stop looking over my shoulder. The result is colour again! glorious colour! now to try and work on my drawing again.

Setting a Looney Free

I have been given a boost of confidence from tutors in my course to not worry as much about some 'grand' theme. I have come to terms that I am an 'image maker'. I love to position and frame what is in my head and its personal importance to me. If I see something which humours me or draws me in I should reference it in my work, the absurdity will come out in how I paint it.

3rd Year Progress

Hi everyone, a mix of painting experiments, some complete, some needing to be. I feel like I'm getting better with colour and I am enjoying it so much now that I'm having to buy more oil paint (it is not cheap)

Same Old Game, Brand New Paints

Two new paintings, I have never painted in oils before so it was an interesting new door to open. After using them I do not want to go back to acrylics. Oils are a frustrating thing to use and so are the mediums you must put with them (it all cost me a bomb, well no bombs are probably more expensive) Anyway, same old same old. I decided my older paintings were more interesting to come back to and so did my tutor. I like them enough to show as a first attempt anyway.

Resting On My Laurels

Good afternoon, I'm a day away from finishing everything that needs to be done and thus have decided to go against Marco Ferrigno's wishes and post a link to a tune I made some time ago. Sorry Marco but i'm out of inspiration at this point.
